dsp goal setting month by monthJanuary was a very busy month for direct sellers!   I encouraged my coaching clients to set their goals for the first 90 days of the year, and recruit three people as soon as possible. We worked on the exercises in the RECRUITING BLUEPRINT strategy and voila they achieved their recruiting goals right away!! I was so impressed.

They are ready to face February FULL ON because they focused on their first 30 days of a 90-day goal.  They are surely on track for a memorable 2015!

A 365 day commitment is a long time to stay focused. When I was growing my own million dollar team, I worked only in 90-day periods.  90-day goals help you chunk the big hairy audacious goal down into do-able action steps and I found we accomplished a lot in 90 days.

Breaking down a goal and creating specific action steps to focus on every day is what’s working in my coaching programs. We follow the formula laid out in the goals section of the DIRECT SALES Planner.  See picture above.

The DIRECT SALES Planner is customized for direct sales entrepreneurs. Those who use it to2015-Direct-Sales-Planner-ebook-no-backgrounde it’s fullest potential, like one of my private coaching clients, helps her keep her status as the number one seller in her company.  She completes the  goals section every year.  She tracks all the 8-10  parties she does every month.  She tracks her re-orders and online sales, her recruiting appointments.  It’s the goals and action steps she writes down in this planner that helps her keep her number one sales status every month.

Let me share with you some specifics on facing your goals FULL ON that’s working in our coaching programs.

Where do you view your goals? First of all do you write them down?  Writing down your BHAG – Big Hairy Audacious Goal in the planner is the beginning of goal setting.  Do you make a vision board? Writing down your goals and creating a visual of your goals is the best way to manifest what you want in your business.   Most of my clients write out their goals in their planner, create their Biz Vision Board and then write their specific 90-day goals on 3×5 cards and paste them all around so they read and review them several times a day.

Do you chunk down your goals? It’s not hard to break your yearly goal into four goals. This is how you come up with quarterly goals. Once you have four goals, keep chunking down into three thirty-day periods. What do you want to achieve in the first 30, second 30, third 30 days?

Next , ask yourself what action steps must happen weekly and daily to accomplish this goal. How many parties? How many phone calls? How many recruiting appointments? When you come up with a list of ten action steps you have a road map or blueprint to help you work on your goal every day. Then, at they end of each 30 days you’ll begin to see the results you want.

Do you have an accountability partner? Having someone to check-in with is one of the best ways to achieve your goals, but you have to be serious about wanting this success. Find a dedicated accountability partner who will listen and keep you steady and on track. A business coach is one of the best ways to create consistency and stay accountable to your goals. This, again is being extremely earnest in your endeavors to grow your business. Investing in yourself can create results for you in developing a strong business. That’s why I shared with you in the beginning of this post, my coaching clients achieved their first recruiting goals for the year in just the first month!
