I know when I was driving home from a successful party and I thought about what made it successful with over $1000 in sales, two future bookings and three very “hot” prospects to follow up with, was the fact that the hostess and I were successful in getting  the “RIGHT” guests to attend.

This is a KEY component when working with your hostess!  Your number one goal is to help the hostess get the free product she wants on her guest list and the way for her  to achieve that goal is working on her guest list.

So, who are the “RIGHT” guests you want at every party?

It’s so important your hostess understands that you’re offering a very fun shopping experience for her and her guests.  So when you’re helping her with the guest list you want to encourage her to invite friends who

#1              Want to have fun.  Having a fun shopping experience is the number one reason why hostesses want to book with you.  When they invite guests who are looking forward to being with the hostess, enjoying the get-together, they’ll certainly get people who will confirm they’ll attend.

#2             Want to learn how to use your products.  Remember you have a unique product, that’s sold and marketed in a party environment.  So your “unique” learning presentation about the benefits of using your product is part of the attraction for hostesses to book and guests who want to buy.

#3            Can afford to buy your products.  Of course, it’s not polite to ask your hostess  to invite guests who can afford to buy.  But what you can do is stress the importance of inviting guests who LOVE your type of product and SHOPS for your type of product A LOT.  e.g.  My product was fashion.  So, I guided my hostess to invite

  • Women who loved Fashion.
  • Women she knew who were fashionistas.
  • Women who loved to accessorize.
  • Women who were looking for a wardrobe solution.
  • Women who were clothes horses.
  • Women who loved to wear casual clothes.
  • Women who were in the Corporate world who dressed in suits.
  • Women who were very involved in social events.
  • Women who were fashion shopaholics.

These were some of the questions I asked my hostess in order to get the “RIGHT” people to attend the party.  They are the guests who want to have fun, want to learn how to dress fashionably and are guests who can afford to buy clothes?

Nothing is more discouraging than a hostess inviting 6-8 guests who can’t afford to buy.  That is a waste of time for you and your hostess, and nobody wins.  You will feel badly for your hostess because the sales will be low and there’s very little hostess credits for her to get her free products.

So, spend time working with your hostess in helping her understand your party will be a fantastic fun shopping experience for her and her guests.  Go over her guest list invites.  Get specific about “who” she’s inviting and share with her which friends  she knows have the three characteristics above.

When you and your hostess get the “RIGHT” guests at her party, you’ll inevitably have those high sales, two or more bookings and some definite “hot” recruit leads.

If you want to have successful parties, work with your hostess in creating a BFF Relationship and it will be very easy to help her get the “RIGHT” guests to your party. This information plus much much more is in the “Hostess Coaching Tool-Kit” E-book which is available on my website here.
