It’s 2021 and all my coaching clients are starting the year with 10 bookings in their calendar.  They have made this their focus since November, because I encourage them to plug productivity planning in their business every week.

They focus on productivity habits in my Journey to Leadership Coaching program and the results speak for themselves with their calendars consistently full of bookings.

We live in an age of distraction.  We are distracted by so many dings and rings.

  • We get Notifications dings from social media.
  • We get rings from our cell phones
  • We have special tunes from Text alerts
  • We have interruptions from families

And one of the biggest distractions is that bright shiny object syndrome.  That’s when we see something exciting on the internet that sucks up our time because we clicked and clicked  to find out more, and before we know it, we’ve spent 30 minutes or more going down a rabbit hole.

With no bookings on your calendar your business comes to a HALT!

I recommend to all my coaching clients to hold a personal booking blitz once a month using a technique called the POMODORO TECHNIQUE!

The POMODORO technique was invented by an Italian man as a time management technique using a cute little tomato timer.  The Italian word for tomato is POMODORO.  He suggests you set the timer and focus for 25 minutes at a time.  Sounds easy, right?

How do you use the Pomodoro Technique to boost your bookings?

  1. Find 25 minutes of uninterrupted time.  Close out all notifications, close the door to your office.  Let nothing disturb you for 25 minutes.
  2. Follow the CALENDAR CONFIDENCE system in the 2021 Direct Sales Planner.
  3. Make a list of 30 people. Watch my You Tube video on 4 types of people.
  4. Create a bullet list of what you want to say when connecting with people. Learn the booking love language in the 2021 Direct Sales Planner
  5. Set your timer for 25 minutes.
  6. Start CONNECTING!

Instead of feeling anxious about getting bookings, you’re focused and all those distractions are OFF for 25 minutes.  You are completely focused on ONE THING!

The time goes off and if you’re not finished, take a break, get up, stand and stretch for 5 minutes, then set the timer for another 25 minutes.
