Do you wish you could motivate your team to have higher performance?

This is a subject that is near and dear to my heart because it is my passion and purpose in my coaching business to help leaders INSPIRE their team and increase their team performance!

Notice I said the word INSPIRE not “motivate.”  You can’t motivate people, but you can inspire them.  When you INSPIRE a team member to perform at a higher level and grow a successful direct sales business, you set up a fantastic ripple effect in that person’s life.

She grows her confidence, she grows her self-esteem, and when that occurs everyone around her prospers.   Her customers prosper, her hostesses prosper and more importantly her family and friends prosper.

Let’s talk about how you can spark performance to get the results you want.

Share your Team Vision.  What’s your vision for your team?    To build results that last, people want a connection to something big.  Like a clear direction!  I recommend you work on a Vision Statement and share it with your team often.  My vision statement for my million-dollar team was the THREE D’S…

  • Dedicated to Serve
  • Disciplined to create wealth and
  • Determined to have a positive impact on others.

I used the words – SERVICE, WEALTH AND POSITIVE IMPACT when communicating with my team.  They knew that our vision or mission was something we stood for as a team!  I would talk about this at our team meetings and conventions and it was written on the BACK OF EVERY newsletter and team communication flyers.

Come up with a vision statement that will help your team have that strong sense of belonging to your group!  This sense of belonging encourages them to perform at a higher capacity.  You want team members to say, come join OUR team!

Set Clear expectations.  Create a clear road map for them to follow.   Share the benefits of holding parties, serving customers and moving into leadership.

We have a simple business model of book, sell, recruit.  Make sure they understand the steps to move through each one of these areas and become confident in the actions needed to achieve success.   These actions will increase their performance with amazing results.

If team members aren’t performing well, find the reason. Always go back to their WHY.  Why are they doing this business?   Get specific about their why and what they truly want, and then help them find the steps to achieve it.  With a clear path ahead and understanding why they want it, they will have find success.

Communicate on a regular basis.  If you want your team increase performance, you must have consistent communication with them.  In the Journey to Leadership program we focus on a CALENDAR CLUB TEAM BOOKING system that shows you how to communicate

CONSISTENT COMMUNICATION is one of the anchors of inspiring your team to increase performance.

Recognize every little accomplishment.  Take a minute to assess your recognition program.  How do you recognize team members?  If you are ONLY recognizing people on Facebook, you’re missing a lot.  Recognizing people at a team meeting with a handshake or a special hug, is one of the highest forms to recognize success and inspire people to perform.

When you recognize people for their accomplishments, it INSPIRES them and it INSPIRES OTHERS to perform!

Be consistent with your recognition.  For example, every month recognize people who consistently hold parties. Always recognize firsts —  first successful party – first successful bookings, first successful recruit –  anything they do FIRST in their business!

Milestone awards for team members who have been in your team for one month, one year, or more!  And don’t forget those spirit awards.   Team members who are out there helping others on the team, when you NOTICE this and recognize it, it builds enormous good will on your team and inspires people to not only take action, but to have a positive impact on others.,

WHAT YOU RECOGNIZE WILL BE REPEATED!

10 Ways to Love on your Team.

Offer resources, tools, and your time to listen.  Encourage team to attend every company event along with you.  Show them where the important resources are in the company website.

Share tools like Canva to create good graphics and help them use Facebook Live Videos.  Use ZOOM for coaching calls, for team meetings – get your face in FRONT of your team so they get to know you!  Keep a pulse on the team by listening to their needs and be available for coaching sessions.

The Bottom line is when you INSPIRE your team, they will increase performance and be more consistent.

They will accelerate their performance because you have a team who know they have a leader who is invested in their success.
