What’s your next step?   TO LAUNCH!!

The best way TO LAUNCH a new product line is to hold a “New Product LAUNCH” party.  And the best place to hold this is at your own home!  If your home isn’t convenient, find a friend who wouldn’t mind hosting your first LAUNCH PARTY of the season.

I can’t stress how important this is to your business in the months September through December.  I suggest you take a leap of faith and find a way to make this happen.

The purpose of the LAUNCH party of course is to share new products, but the main purpose is to get bookings and LAUNCH the “busy” season.  The “busy” season is the months between September and December.  If you LAUNCH now and go into the next six weeks with  a calendar full of TEN bookings, you will see amazing results.

Your LAUNCH must be strategized, planned and implemented with careful precision.  Here are 8 steps to carefully plan a busy season FULL of parties.

#1  Choose a Theme. Having a theme, makes it exciting and enticing.   Three themes I’ve used.

  • “Pajamas and Pearls”  Invite everyone to wear pajamas and pearls – bathrobes and slippers are optional.
  • “Sneak Peek Open the Box” party.  Organize new products in the box it arrived, make it exciting by revealing each new product “out of the box.”
  • “Put your Big Girl Panties On & Deal with it.”  Buy large women’s panties, fold and pin a printed invitation with instructions to wear the panties to the party any way they want. Offer a prize for the best!

Let your creativity flow and come up with a theme that will excite and entice customers to attend.

#2 Special Invitation. Once you’ve chosen your theme, mail out special invitations and share on social media. Designate a date and time.  Let them know they’ll be the FIRST to preview the NEW products.  Ask each guest to bring a friend, and offer a special gift for her and her friend.  Be sure to specify the TIME of the presentation.  You want everyone arriving on time for the demonstration so they get the full benefit of learning about the new products.

#3 Set up. Create a festive environment pertaining to your theme.   Set up different stations for people to wander and enjoy samplings.  Give everyone a draw ticket for a special drawing of a new product.   Add extra “fun” props – balloons, confetti. Serve lite drinks and treats.

#4 Hostess Coach yourself. Spend time following up before your event to get confirmations.  Usually a phone call or text the day before the event insures good attendance.  Optional idea is to mail a postcard – asking them to bring the postcard for a door prize drawing.

#5 Promote on Social Media Write exciting posts about your upcoming “New Product Launch Party.”  Talk about the theme, fun and prizes you’re offering.  Build excitement about the new products and leave hints how they help and solve problems.  If you have a blog, write about the upcoming fun.

#6 Your Party Demonstration. Create eye-catching product displays.  Hand out wish-lists for guests when they arrive.   Focus on bookings. Share your generous Hostess Program because you want everyone to book.  Make your demonstration interactive and ask everyone to share their favorite NEW product.  Emphasize your open calendar dates.  If past hostesses are attending ask them to share their party experience with you.  Get everyone involved in sampling and enjoying ALL the new products.

#7 Checkout Organization Set up your checkout to reflect you are organized and ready to do business. Have your calendar open with available booking dates. Have Hostess packets readyTry the 5 ENVELOPE idea – have 5 envelopes with your next 5 booking dates written on outside. Inside each envelope is a gift certificate of $5, $10, $15, $25 or $30 towards hostess credits when she books her show.

#8  Get Known for your New Product Launch Party. Make it special, so people can’t wait to attend.  Make sure everyone leaves feeling great and having a fun, positive experience.  Most importantly, get those bookings INKED on your calendar for the new season.  Sell products and take orders if people insist.  But, it is “much” better for your business if they book and get products they want  for free!
