We use the term ‘Biz Builders” often in my coaching sessions! Who is a Biz Builder? It boils down to finding people who wanting to grow a strong and profitable business, but it’s so much more than that.

They are people who are teachable, have a huge desire and want a better life for them and their family.

I’m asked this question a lot, “Where can I find Biz Builders to join my team?” But, the better question I recommend is to ask is “Am I ready to work with people who are teachable and have a huge desire to better their life?

In my coaching programs we work on getting very very clear about the kind of person who we want to join our team. Here are three ways we work on finding Biz Builders.

First: We brainstorm quality traits we want to look for in a Biz Builder. This brainstorming in our L.E.A.P. Mastermind group accumulated a great long list of quality traits. With a brilliant list of quality traits, I then show them how to dissect this list and come up with FIVE top traits that make it very clear WHO that person is to them. The bottom line here is when you know a person’s interests, their ambitions, and actually write down what sort of person you’re looking for you will know them immediately when you come in contact with them at your parties.

If you’re looking for people on social media, you’ll know this person from the 5 quality traits that describes your Biz Builder.   These people may be in groups for personal development, or they may be someone you know who is very outgoing and social, and you’ll begin to recognize them because they are showing up in your news feed.

Second: The second step is to MEMORIZE those quality traits. Get that person very clearly in your head, so you recognize them everywhere.  

  • You will recognize them when they come through the door at your parties.
  • You will recognize them when you are having an intimate conversation at your parties.
  • You will recognize them when they ask you a question at your parties.
  • You will recognize them when you instant message them on social media.
  • You will recognize them when you meet them at a networking event.

Third: After you’ve recognized them, then it’s about setting up conversations.   I recommend you take the conversation OFFLINE! Or if you’re doing it online do it face to face with zoom. This is ONE STEP so many people miss in their business. When you have a conversation, you develop a friendship, you see if this person does have a great desire to change her life, and from there you will determine if the time is right for them to join your team as a Biz Builder.

The reason it’s so important to know how to find a Biz Builder is because when you’re working your business holding parties, booking recruiting conversations, meeting people at networking events and posting on social media you will not only recognize them, but they will be attracted to you!
