The subject this week in our L.E.A.P. Mastermind group was developing a wait list of people to keep your calendar full of bookings.   In this group everyone is dedicated to hitting a specific sales goal every month, and to do that they make sure their calendar is full of the number of bookings every four weeks!

Think about this, someone says, to you..

  • “I would love to book a party with you, but not right now, maybe in June, or,
  • “I’d like to book a party, but not right now, I’ll contact you.” or,
  • “After my daughter’s wedding is over, I’d love to have a party.”

Many times people who say.. I want to book a party when..   when something happens in their life. or when the time is right or when whatever happens, and we dismiss it, or forget to write it down, or worse still, forget to follow up. It’s up to YOU to make a mental note and begin writing down the  information on a MAYBE LATER Booking Wait List.

To build your booking wait list, you have to be ONE with your calendar, and that comes easy when you learn the system I teach my coaching clients to always book into the next four weeks FIRST using the DIRECT SALES PLANNER system.

When you always have bookings going out every FOUR weeks, you are assured of your monthly income. You know exactly how many parties you need to hit your sales goal every month. This is essential to your follow-up system as well.

Here are my top tips in building your BOOKING WAIT LIST!

  1. Work the CALENDAR CONFIDENCE system laid out in the DIRECT SALES PLANNER workbook. When you are confident in “asking” for bookings, you show people you are a professional direct seller who books fabulous parties. In the planner you’ll have a specific list on each month’s calendar to write in Hostess names to follow up with

  1. Train your brain to LISTEN! Listen for those words, “I’d love to do a party when…”   When something happens like,
  • … when my house remodel is finished,
  • … when it’s summer
  • … when I get back from my trip

One of my favorite books on learning how to listen is the “Zen of Listening.”  Listen for those words, “when my …” and add their names to your wait list.

  1. Follow up consistently with a system.  I suggest to my clients that they make 5 booking calls every day! Are you up for that? Think about it, it would probably take you about 15 minutes every day, but it could change your whole calendar. And, I’m talking about making phone calls. Not texts, email or instant messaging.  When you make phone calls you get BUSINESS, and you will fill your calendar. (believe me.

4.  Discipline is key to creating your booking wait list, and it’s the discipline of follow-up. Having a system in place where you follow-up and build relationships with people who “want” to book with you! They are waiting to book when the time is right for them.

Having the DISCIPLINE is working your business the W.I.T.A.

It’s what I work with my clients every week. What is that?

Having a “Whatever It Takes Attitude” in growing your business. If you develop the W.I.T.A. in your business and work with with systems like the DIRECT SALES PLANNER,

I want you to build your own BOOKING WAIT LIST, but you have to work at it.. you have to have follow the system – and be intentional and be organized WITH A PLANNER SYSTEM and no matter how busy you get, (W.I.T.A.)
