At the end of the year you have a record of each month’s income and mileage and expenses. It’s simply creating a habit to run these numbers every month.

Commit to Saving.  I recommend setting up a monthly auto-pilot savings program. This is taking the profits from your business and investing in your future. Start with a small amount like $50. Financial guru David Bach says, “the secret to becoming rich is to pay yourself first, automatically, 10% of what you earn.” The sooner you start saving the bigger your nest egg will grow. When you know you have a set amount taken out of your account, it gives you the impetus to keep a consistent flow of business every month.

At the end of the day, having a profitable business is also about helping others have profitable businesses. As a leader your goal is to help your team members make a profit in their business to improve their life and their family’s life.
