Most entrepreneurs are goal-driven and know the powerful impact it has on their business.  The very reason they start their business is because they have an idea, and a goal. Then, they make a plan to take action on that goal.  They give themselves a timeline to hit some targets along the way, and once their business is up and running, and (most importantly,) they check their goals every day, week and every month.

Are you a goal-driven entrepreneur?   Or are you someone who runs your business by the seat of your pants, with no plan, no goals, just taking action endlessly to find yourself tottering on burnout?

GOAL-DRIVEN FORMULA

I designed the 2024 Planner with a goal-driven formula that helps you set long-term goals “AND” short term goals that contribute to helping you achieve the goals you want without feeling overwhelmed or exhausted.

I call this formula THE PURPOSEFUL PLANNING SYSTEM that helps you see success in achieving your goals.  We begin with broad yearly goals  and get more specific as you move along the process.

  • Yearly Planning is when you create your big picture goal.
  • Then you follow with Quarterly Planning which is your guide or roadmap.
  • Then you shift into a Monthly Planning routine that keeps you focused on taking the right action.
  • And finally, the Weekly Planning routine that offers increased productivity, organization and your align all your actions to accomplish your goals.

LET’S BEGIN GOAL-SETTING WITH YEARLY PLANNING!

Yearly planning is the most important place to start.  You start by setting your vision and financial goals for the year.  This is the “big picture” or “bird’s eye view” of your business will have the most powerful impact on achieving your goals.

In the 2024 PLANNER it’s all laid out for you to just fill out the sections allotted to your yearly goal.   A few things to focus on that should help you complete this section is

  • Find the time before the new year and start your planning.
  • Find your word of the year. You’ll write this down in the front of your planner.  This helps you find your theme for the year.  Is it a growth year?  A year to invest in coaching?  A year to systematize your business?
  • Ask yourself what are your financial goals of the year?
  • To help you set your BIG YEARLY GOAL, I recommend you start with this exercise:

 QUARTERLY PLANNING STAGE!

Quarterly planning has a  powerful impact on achieving your goals because it helps you create the projects you want to complete in a 90-day period.  Many times, it’s tied to your content creation and it helps you prioritize and make choices on what’s important in your marketing efforts.  Here are a few questions to ask yourself every quarter.

  • What content do you want to prioritize?
  • How did your newsletters, emails and social media do last quarter and what adjustments do you need to make?
  • What new platforms do you want to consider?
  • How will the projects you choose align with your yearly goals?

PLAN YOUR QUARTERLY GOALS USING THE 90-DAY GOAL PLAYBOOK

Start planning the FIRST 90-days.   Write down a list of the projects or goals you want to accomplish in the work on each 90-day period and follow the 90-day goals method.  Think of quarterly planning as a great way to check the pulse of your yearly goals and see the progress you’re making.

THE POWER IN MONTHLY PLANNING!

If you want to have more time to spend with family, practice self care and enjoy coffee with friends, schedule a time on your calendar every month to PLAN YOUR MONTH using the “Monthly planning Page.” MONTHLY PLANNING is about reaching ALL your goals!

Create a new habit every month – I recommend you begin each month creating a new habit.  Learn more about the Power of Habits to grow your business in this video.

Powerful prompts: the MONTHLY GOALS AND ACTION PLAN page in your planner is  designed to help you get a clear vision of what you want to accomplish each month.  These powerful prompts allow you to prioritize your tasks:

  • Write down your monthly goal
  • What are important actions needed to achieve this goal?
