A coaching client messaged me and said, “Hi Gale, I had my highest month ever and sold over $3300!  I now have my calendar full for August, but I’d love your suggestions on how to teach my team to get their calendar full of bookings?

So, the question is “How do I teach my team to get their calendar full of bookings?”  There are many ways to support your team in getting bookings.

Today I have three suggestions for you.

Suggestion Number 1 – Lead by example.  Did you see the beginning of her message above?   “Hi Gale, I had my highest month ever, sold over $3,300 and now have my calendar full for August.”

How did she do it?     What did she do to hit her highest month and what steps did she take action on to get her August calendar full?

That’s ONE answer to the question.   She took action and worked on what I call booking activities.  She LED by example!   If your team is struggling to get bookings share with them what actions you are taking to get bookings.   Share with them

  • How you planted booking seeds at your parties
  • How you used the Calendar Confidence system
  • How you made 10 phone calls to get one booking
  • How you followed up with a customer service call and the customer wanted to book.

YOU are the leader, and if you’re leading by example having high sales and getting consistent bookings every month, show your team the “actions” you’re taking to achieve that success. Share it with a few Facebook posts in your Team group.  Share it in a training at your team meeting, or share it in a special one-on-one conversation.

Suggestion Number 2:  Hold a Team Booking blitz

In the Calendar Club Team Booking workbook, I lay out a very extensive and specific way to hold a Team Booking blitz every month.

  • Show them how to create a list of people to call to ask for bookings
  • Give them the words to say with specific scripts on what to say when asking.
  • Set a Team Goal for the number of bookings you want to achieve.

Follow the template outline in the Calendar Club Team Booking system on the third week every month and your team will always be consistently booking into the next four weeks.

Suggestion Number 3:   Reward team members for holding their own home re-launch party.

Right now most of you have new products to share!  Create an incentive for your team and reward those who hold a re-launch party.  I like to call it a “Sneak Peek” party and invite all my customers.  You could even call it a customer appreciation party,  but show your team how to invite people to attend and be excited to share the new product line.   Then reward them

  • For holding the party
  • Having $500 or more in sales
  • Getting TWO FUTURE BOOKINGS

And this begins the new season with bookings.

As a leader your job is to support and help your team be successful in their business.  And the success of their business lies in holding successful parties.
