Is 2014 YOUR year to win the BIG Company Incentive trip?

I’m hearing from clients about their fantastic incentive trips to the Bahamas, Australia, and Mexico.  I’m seeing amazing pictures on social media of direct sellers having fun lazing in pools, sipping drinks on the beach and enjoying a well-earned holiday.

I remember a fantastic incentive trip I earned to Moorea, Tahiti.  We stayed at a beautiful hotel with bungalows over the water.  Every morning we stepped off the landing of our room for a quick dip before breakfast.

A couple of days later we boarded the incredible Paul Gaugin Yacht for a cruise around the islands with a gorgeous cabin that came with a butler.   A memorable experience on this trip was  having a picnic lunch with the water lapping at our feet.

We also drove across island in land cruisers to see the historic Bora Bora guns and returning to the yacht for a special Tahitian massage.

This is what the amazing direct selling industry offers people like no other industry.  Earning an incentive trip is not just about winning or having a paid holiday.

  • It’s about having the courage to set a goal and be consistent in your business.
  • It’s about persistence and not giving up
  • It’s about  growing yourself personally and professionally.

Here are some important tips to help you persevere and earn  your 2014 trip incentive this year.

Track your trip every week.  Don’t be in the dark. Don’t leave this up to your leader, or your company to track for you.  Start from day 1 and track exactly how much in sales, how many new recruits must join and qualify, and create your own tracking sheet and look at it every week.  I put my totals on my white board in my office so I would erase and replace with each week’s total and watched that figure expand and grow.  My message here is to DO THIS YOURSELF!

Invest in you!  Set aside a certain amount of your income to take seminars, attend your convention and leadership conference this year.  If you truly want to rise to the top hire a coach.  I hired my first coach in my second year as a new leader.  This investment was the catalyst that took my team to the million-dollar circle and win many incentive trips.   Set your intentions to spend the time and money to learn something new every month.

Make your car a place of learning.  Turn off the radio and tune into a CD or download an Mp3 on increasing sales, or having a calendar full of bookings, or recruiting a strong team or simply staying positive! Listen on the way to your party and become an expert in the basics of your business.   You’ll see an increase in your confidence and your sales and recruiting figures will keep climbing towards your goal every week.

Journal your ideas.  When you’re learning new information, your mind is flooded with new ideas you want to implement in your business.  Write your thoughts in a journal to capture inspiration and ideas.  I even use my Iphone notepad to jot down thoughts on my 4-mile daily walk.  Recording your thoughts and developing them is a very important strategy in personal growth.  One idea might skyrocket your sales or recruiting to hit your targets.

Develop your note-taking skills.  One of the best ways to learn at a convention or on webinars and teleconferences is to take good notes.  Re-type your hand written notes or re-read your Ipad typed notes the next day.  This will help you focus on the big ideas and makes a big impact on your success to increase your sales and recruiting to hit your target and hit it early!

Implement quickly and take fast action.   Fast action is the key to getting consistent results and greater success.  It’s about doing what you learn and doing it every day.  On one international million-dollar trip, I learned a marketing strategy from another leader and implemented it as soon as I got home.  This one strategy increased my team sales volume by 50% over a three-month period.  That incentive trip was worth it’s weight in gold!

To have more you must become more successful and the way to do that is to focus on earning your company trip incentive every day.  In today’s world, try to resist the temptation to build your business only on free information.  Free advice will keep you on the outskirts of having the success you want.  If your desire is to be an incentive winner, commit to constantly investing in you and increase your knowledge and wisdom, and hit your target early!
